Job Description:
A digital content editor is responsible for not just their own tasks, but the tasks of other writers, guiding them and ensuring quality work. They should be able to pinpoint areas for improvement and effectively convey the message across to writers who may need the advice. Assessing heavy edits, sitting in during kickoff meetings and working with the SEO Department in hosting meetings and providing suggestions for processes, workflow and SOPs are key roles as well.
Location: Central, Somerset
Working Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-6pm

Job Requirements
- Guide Writers: Mentor and provide constructive feedback to writers, identifying areas for improvement and offering actionable advice.
- Kickoff Meetings: Participate in kickoff meetings with writers, helping them formulate relevant questions and gather necessary information.
- Knowledge Sharing: Conduct monthly meetings with writers to share knowledge, best practices, and experience. Teach writers how to ask the right questions and enhance their understanding of content requirements.
- Proactive Guidance: Offer proactive solutions and suggestions for executing new initiatives, such as premium articles, and help writers adapt to these changes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all content produced meets high-quality standards and adheres to company guidelines.
Editorial and Operational Duties:
- Task Management: Balance training responsibilities with your own editorial tasks, maintaining high-quality output and meeting deadlines.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with related departments to align content strategies and improve workflow processes.
- Problem-Solving: Utilize strong problem-solving, leadership, and analytical skills to address issues and propose solutions for content and editorial processes.
- Feedback and Improvement: Provide feedback on writers’ quality of work and suggest improvements to enhance overall content standards.
- Team Development: Participate in the assessment and recruitment of new team members, ensuring they meet the standards required for the role.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. Proven experience as a content editor or similar role with a strong portfolio of edited content.
