The amount is the same as before, but the money now moves the other way.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>Instead of paying the full fee and waiting to be reimbursed, you pay the nett fee less your SFEC offset, and SWDA pays the SFEC portion straight to the training provider.<br \/><br \/>For a SWDA-funded course, that usually means the only thing you pay upfront is the GST. The new credit also lasts three years, until 30 November 2029.<br \/><br \/>The change that matters most for employers isn&#8217;t the wallet itself. It&#8217;s the timing.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>Under the current scheme, a late claim only delayed your reimbursement. Under SFEC (Enhanced), a claim submitted more than 14 days after the course starts can&#8217;t go through at all. Whatever is left after that date expires and doesn&#8217;t move into the new wallet.<br \/><br \/><b>The cut-off is the course end date, not the start date.<\/b> A course that starts on 25 November and ends on 3 December misses the current credit, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpgateway.gov.sg\/resources\/announcements-and-circulars\/ssg-information-memorandum-eed-2026-1---launch-of-the-redesigned-skillsfuture-enterprise-credit-(sfec)-and-expiry-of-the-current-skillsfuture-enterprise-credit-(sfec)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SWDA\u2019s (previously known as SSG) information memorandum<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to training providers makes clear.<br \/><br \/><\/span>How you claim depends on who attends.<br \/><br \/><\/p><ul><li><b>Singapore Citizens and PRs. <\/b>You don&#8217;t need to submit a separate claim. SFEC is worked out from the enrolment the training provider submits in TPGateway, and it&#8217;s paid to your GIRO account with IRAS or to Corporate PayNow.<\/li><li><b>Foreign employees, excluding LTVP+ holders. <\/b>You must submit a manual claim in the SFEC system by 30 November 2026.<\/li><li><b>EDG, PSG and MRA projects. <\/b>Submit final claims to the relevant agency by 30 November 2026.<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>The old SFEC system then winds down. Training providers have until 30 April 2027 to endorse manual claims, you can view your claim history until 31 July 2027, and the system goes offline on 1 August 2027, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ourworkforce.gov.sg\/programmes-directory\/programme\/skillsfuture-enterprise-credit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the OurWorkforce SFEC page<\/a>. There&#8217;s no application form to fill in.<br \/><br \/>SWDA checks which companies qualify and emails them ahead of the launch. To unlock the credit, you then <strong>complete a short workforce questionnaire on the OurWorkforce Portal.<\/strong><br \/><br \/>Two points are worth knowing if you&#8217;ve looked at SFEC before.<br \/><br \/>The rules have changed. The S$750 SDL minimum that applied to Budget 2020 qualifiers isn&#8217;t part of the new criteria, and the qualifying period is now calendar 2025. A company that missed out on the current SFEC may qualify this time.<br \/><br \/>Companies that received the current credit still get the fresh $10,000, even if they used up the first one.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b151906 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-child\" data-id=\"b151906\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6a93acb content-anchor elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6a93acb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">What Can SFEC (Enhanced) Pay For?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9d78ddf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9d78ddf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>At launch, SFEC (Enhanced) covers three things.\u00a0<br \/><br \/><\/p><ul><li>SWDA-funded, employer-sponsored training courses in the OurWorkforce course directory<\/li><li>SkillsFuture Workforce Development Grant (Job Redesign+), or WDG(JR+), projects. For these, the credit covers up to 90% of your out-of-pocket cost instead of 100%<\/li><li>Mentorship support projects under the National Centre of Excellence for Workplace Learning (NACE).\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>SWDA says more programmes will be added over time.<br \/><br \/><\/p><table><tbody><tr><td><b>You can use SFEC (Enhanced) for<\/b><\/td><td><b>You can&#8217;t use SFEC (Enhanced) for<\/b><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>SWDA-funded courses for your employees<\/td><td>GST on any course or project<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>WDG(JR+) job redesign projects<\/td><td>Courses without SWDA funding<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>NACE mentorship support projects<\/td><td>\u00a0<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><p>A training provider can&#8217;t apply to make a single course eligible. Eligibility comes from the course&#8217;s base government funding, so before you enrol anyone, check that the course is SWDA-funded in the course directory and ask the provider for its course reference number.<br \/><br \/>It also helps to be clear about what the credit won&#8217;t do.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>It doesn&#8217;t replace the course fee subsidy, it doesn&#8217;t pay Absentee Payroll, and it doesn&#8217;t make a course without SWDA funding any cheaper.
