Introduction
Hello! I am Shannon, a Senior Digital Content Writer at OOm. I am laid back, easy going and I love my own company (and that of animals). My dream is to be able to retire early because I like to relax, enjoy life and have time for my hobbies. I wish I was more of a workaholic and can hustle through life but just the thought of that tires me out already.
Describe your role in OOm as a Senior Digital Content Writer.
As a Senior Digital Content Writer, I am responsible for the content creation of social media posts, blog articles, website landing pages and content for our own website as well. Basically, anything that has to do with words is ‘write’ up my alley!
Tell me about one memorable incident / experience you had while working in OOm.
Probably my first day. I was really nervous, but turns out everybody is super nice and friendly, which is always a comfort! To me, meeting great people is always a highlight and a memorable experience considering my introverted tendencies.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to you? / What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
The most embarrassing thing I can remember is having my friend force me up on stage at a bar when they were asking for open mic performances, and I think I started crying. In our defence, we were both tipsy.
Name your favourite activity/activities.
I like very typical ‘writer things’ including reading, writing, poetry and literature. I enjoy playing the piano as well and am a huge fan of watching American dramas and sitcoms.
What’s your favourite food?
Pizza and tomato pasta. How very Italian of me!
What are your pet peeves?
People rushing to get out of MRT trains or buses even before they stop. Why the rush? It probably only saves a few seconds of their time when they do that. Also, it is hard for me to get out of the way safely when the train or bus is still moving.
