Everyone has their own story to tell. Such is the case for OOm’s silent yet comedic Web Application Developer, Verdel Manzano. Take a deeper look into our resident quiet man and learn more about his personal life and perspective of OOm’s work ethics.
I do the creating and upgrading of system functions used by our co-employees for the benefit of company.
In my everyday work, I always remember this saying, “do what you love”. Passion makes great things no matter how big or small it is.
Currently, my work position today is my biggest achievement so far. When I was studying college I dreamt to be a systems developer and now it happened. Oh yeah!
There is no one other than Pao, our systems team lead. He is realistic about work, shares some tips to be a good developer, and most especially, he’s a role model to us.
Playing sports every week or every month (e.g basketball or badminton). It will have a very positive impact that will create great camaraderie among the team especially since we are growing and growing.
I describe myself as Hanamichi Sakuragi of Slamdunk (anime film). Since day one, Hanamichi was so unfamiliar and foolish about playing basketball. Like me on my first computer programming lesson, I am unfamiliar and foolish. I realized that the beginning is always the hardest, that’s why I just keep working and working to be the best at what I can.
I would choose Professor X. I will use his power of creating total amnesia on many criminals and terrorists in the world. Also, I will know their bad plans by using the power of telepathy to help mankind.
When I am off at work on the weekend, I play basketball with my friends. A basketball court is where I feel most at home and it is the one place on Earth I can be where I know what I’m doing and what I’m talking about.
I prefer to choose World War 2. If I lived during that time, I will be a Filipino soldier to help all the Filipino and American soldiers who battled against Japanese Soldiers for the independence of the Philippines.
Passion, transparency, talent, and futuristic.
