FAQs:

You do not necessarily need a fancy or expensive phone to take great photos. While high-end smartphones often come equipped with advanced camera features and capabilities, many mid-range and even budget-friendly phones offer impressive camera functionalities as well. What is more important than the cost of the phone is understanding how to leverage its features effectively and mastering composition techniques, lighting, and post-processing skills. Fret not, as you will be learning these in our smartphone photography workshop.

This mobile photography course includes both theoretical learning and practical components. While participants will gain knowledge about essential photography principles, techniques, and smartphone functionalities through theoretical instruction, they will also have the opportunity to apply what they have learned in hands-on practical sessions. These practical components include photo-taking exercises, group discussions, and guided photo-editing sessions.

The smartphone photography workshop primarily focuses on utilising the built-in functions of smartphones for photo editing. However, participants will also have the opportunity to explore basic editing techniques using Canva, a user-friendly graphic design platform and Lightroom.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion from OOm Institute as well as a SkillsFuture WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA). The SOA is a certification that not only validates an individual’s expertise in the course but is also widely recognised by employers in Singapore.

Please ensure that you bring a laptop to the course to engage in class activities. Additionally, you may consider bringing a jacket in case you feel cold.
