OOm has recently identified a security incident involving an unauthorised third party impersonating the company through a fraudulent email account.
The email, sent from info.oomagency@gmail.com, falsely requested payment while posing as OOm. The company confirms that this email address is not associated with OOm and is not an authorised communication channel.
As a precautionary reminder to clients and partners, OOm’s official communications are sent only from email addresses ending with @oom.com.sg. The company does not use Gmail or other generic email domains for invoicing or payment instructions.
OOm emphasised that any changes to banking details will always be formally communicated and verified through official channels. Clients who receive suspicious emails requesting payment or banking information under OOm’s name are strongly advised not to proceed and to contact their account manager directly for verification.
The company is currently investigating the matter and taking appropriate steps to address the situation. OOm expressed appreciation to clients who exercised caution and verified the request before taking action, reiterating that safeguarding clients’ interests remains a top priority.
Clients with concerns are encouraged to contact OOm directly through its official communication channels.
