Which Businesses are Eligible for EDGE?

The criteria for EDGE eligibility is straightforward, making it easier for SMEs to access the grant:

• Your business needs to be registered and operating in Singapore.
• The company needs to have at least 30% local shareholding. 
• If your business’s annual sales turnover must be under S$100 million, or you must have less than 200 employees.
• The solutions your business has purchased, leased, or subscribed to must be used in Singapore.

How to Apply for EDGE

 1. Visit the Official Website

First, visit GoBusiness Gov Assist, the official website. Under “Government Assistance”, head over to “EDGE Grant”. This will take you directly to the EDGE overview page.

2. Choose a Solution for Your Business

Clicking on “All EDGE Solutions” on the left side of your screen will take you to the full list. Identify and select the solutions that best align with your business goals and improvement areas.

3. Request a Quotation

Before applying for the grant, you must first obtain a quotation from a EDGE pre-approved vendor or consultant. Contact your preferred vendor to request a quote for the solution you need.

4. Submit Your Application

After completing the steps above and receiving a quotation, submit your application via the Business Grants Portal. Before applying, ensure you have a registered Corppass.

Fill in the required information, then track your application status. Once approved, you’ll receive a Letter of Offer and Appointment.

1. SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)

Beyond the EDGE, eligible businesses in Singapore can upskill their employees by using the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC). The SFEC is a one-off, $10,000 credit that can be used to cover up to 90% of out-of-pocket expenses for supported programmes and courses. 

SFEC credits can also be used to offset the remaining 50% of costs that are not covered by EDGE. By combining the two grants, businesses can receive subsidies to as high as 95% for EDGE solutions.
