Look Who’s Talking: Paolo Rogelio

Posted by Charisma Felix ,

This week, we have one of OOm’s young dads. He is responsible in making sure that we can work on all accounts in an organized and effective way. But more than his utmost dedication on the success of his works, he’s one of the reasons why there are no dull days on our everyday office life.

Everyone, here’s our Internal Systems Development Team Lead… Paolo Rogelio.

Describe your role at OOm.

I’m the lead of internal systems development. Basically, I do the planning of the systems to be developed. I’m also overseeing and helping my co-developer in his difficult tasks.

What do you love most about your job?

I will say that the more difficult the task is, the more it is going to be fun. I’m confidently saying that because I’m always hungry for new technologies and knowledge so I can hone my skills.

How do you keep yourself productive at work?

To be productive, I always listen to opening songs of Anime that I love. Sometimes, I will take a nap for 15mins to recharge my energy then I will drink a coffee after sleeping.

But the thing that has the greatest impact in my productivity is by treating my work as if I am crafting a sand castle; if you keep in mind how fun it is, I’m sure the boring part of the work will be gone.

Where do you usually draw inspiration when doing your tasks?

My only inspiration is my family. In every challenge, I always think about how much I want to be a role model to my children, then it will help me overcome the problem.

What can you consider as your greatest achievement in life, so far?

So far, I can say that my greatest achievement in life is being a dad of two before 30s, because being a dad is the greatest challenge of all time. To be a provider is easy because money is all you need, but to be a dad it takes one person to sacrifice his own good to his children.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you yet?

Some of the people around me thinks that I am a matured individual but in reality I am so immature in my own way. In playing competitive games like DotA, I sometimes rage immaturely when I lose. It’s like I am a 3-year-old kid that lost his candy.

Which fictional character best describes you, and why?

Naruto. I think it may be because I value friendship like a diamond. I am always that person who gets excited to have a friend beside me in happiness, sorrow, joy, and etc.

Would you rather be smart or handsome? Why?

Smart because I’m already handsome. Kidding aside, I choose to be smart because all aspects of life can be manipulated by a person’s intelligence. I can be handsome by being smart because sometimes intelligence is what attracts a person. By being smart you can be rich; people will acknowledge you, some will worship you, and it will seem like you are invulnerable.

What’s your most favourite app, and why?

My favorite app is MX Player. I always watch movies and Anime in that application. The richness of the sound in that application is like bringing me into the world of the video I am watching.

What do you love about OOm?

I love how the designations doesn’t separate each employees because, in OOm, we do not treat a superior employee like a higher person. I believe that it is the key to success because the company feels more comfortable and friendly, at the same time delivering the work in an effective manner.
